Author Payment and Rights
Circuit Cellar buys the first-time publication rights, which means we own the rights to the article as it appears in the magazine. The author retains the rights to the original materials as submitted. Upon acceptance of your completed article, you will be sent the standard author contract that explains this in greater detail.
Circuit Cellar pays the author a $100 honorarium for every published page. Article payments will be mailed by the end of the month in which the article is published. With the check, we will also send a few complimentary copies of that issue. If you wish to purchase additional copies, you need to contact us to discuss the quantity and shipping costs.
When your article is accepted and scheduled for publication, we will inform you by sending an author contract.
