Fan
Controller with Feedback from Temperature Sensors
This
helpful system reduces a computer’s fan speed and prevents
it from overheating, thus adding a new level of safety for
people who modify their computers at home. The HD64F3664BP
microcontroller-based fan controller is particularly useful
because it can be modified to suit a specific task. Each temperature
sensor, relay, and fan output can be configured separately.
The temperature is thoroughly measured by gathering data from
eight different points using temperature-to-voltage converters.
Plus, each of the five digitally controlled fan outputs can
handle currents up to 1 A at 12 V. Programming is straightforward
thanks to the user-friendly interface.
