Data Acquisition & Transport System (DATS)
Designed as an alternative to conventional data acquisition systems, the DATS is a stand-alone integrated system controller based on the H8S/2329 development board. The 2329 microcontroller collects analog field data (e.g., temperature, pressure, vibrations, and voltage) and translates it to discrete levels. It then transmits the data through a built-in RS-232 port via either a Cat 5 cable connection or a data radio link to a process controller. A PC then logs the data for further analysis. The system’s flexibility makes it ideal for industrial applications for cellular network base stations, pipeline installations, and refineries.
