Precision Frequency Meter

The well-designed Precision Frequency Meter precisely measures input frequency that is locked to a known standard. In this CY8C27443 microcontroller-based project, a crystal oscillator is placed in a temperature-controlled environment to enhance its precision. Before it’s used to measure the input frequency, the reference oscillator’s frequency is measured against the exact time broadcast on public radio. The resulting meter achieves extremely accurate frequency measurements.
