Large-Scale Electronic Display

CONSTRUCTION

I built the 8¢ × 7.5¢ scoreboard out of 0.5" marine plywood. Cutouts enable the digits to be mounted flush with the face of the scoreboard from the rear. I attached protective Perspex sheets to protect the digits. I sealed the enclosure and Perspex sheets with silicone glue to keep out water.

The power and signal cables are housed under the scoreboard, which is mounted on a 3' high base. You can read the data from as far as 100 yards away.
