With only this small taste of TI’s flash memory-based mixed signal microprocessor, I hope you’ll find it intriguing enough to want to experiment with it in future battery-based designs. If you keep this bit of information handy (which can certainly be used with any processor with an internal comparator), you may be able to figure out how it is part of a project that will “get up to temp” after the introduction of one more critical section. For more information on techniques using a comparator for measurements, take a look at TI’s SLAA071 application report on the web site.
