A
bull is a large and unpredictable character, so it’s
handy to have wireless access to the Buckymeter. IrDA
support provides untethered access to the data inside
the Buckymeter.
IrDA
is supported via a Microchip Technology MCP2150 self-contained
IrDA adapter (see Figure 3). It’s wired according
to Microchip’s “Using the MCP2150 to Add IrDA Standard
Wireless Connectivity.” The IrDA chip is connected
to the second LPC2138 UART channel.
