ARM7
CONTROLLER BOARD
The
iARM-2103 is the first in a new series of highly
integrated SBCs. The iARM-2103 is based on a powerful
Philips LPC2103 ARM7 microcontroller and features an
easy-to-use USB interface.

The
iARM-2103 can draw its power from the USB port, which
enables immediate development without additional hardware.
It includes many features not found in comparably priced
boards such as lead-free/RoHS-compliant components,
a DIP switch for configuration instead of jumpers, a
JTAG header, a 64-Kb I2C EEPROM, brownout
protection, firmware upgrades via USB, free USB drivers,
an RTC with a 32.768-kHz clock and battery backup support,
an ADC, all of the I/O signals brought out to headers,
and much more.
The
iARM-2103, which measures 2.6² ×
1.9², can be used as either
a plug-in module or a stand-alone SBC. In the stand-alone
configuration, the iARM-2103 is easily mounted with
standoffs and the header pins plug directly into standard
0.1² cable connectors.
The
iARM-2103 is fully supported by the ICCARM C compiler.
The ICCARM demo is fully functional for 45 days and
becomes a 10-KB code limited for noncommercial use after
45 days. It is perfect for iARM-2103 development. Flash
programming can be done using the free Philips serial
downloader over the USB port.
The
product comes with numerous example programs to speed
development, including a variety of iARM-2103 programs
and Windows applications demonstrating communications
between the PC and the iARM-2103 over USB.
The
iARM-2103 costs $89 in single quantities. The
ICCARM compiler is $199.
