NEW
MIXED-SIGNAL MICROCONTROLLERS
The
new C8051F41x microcontrollers integrate
up to 32-KB flash memory and high-performance analog
peripherals (including a SmaRTClock with failsafe recovery
features) in a compact 5 × 5 mm package. The C8051F41x
microcontrollers also offer a versatile voltage supply
from 2 to 5.25 V with an on-chip programmable voltage
regulator and up to 5-V tolerant independent I/O voltage
control. The microcontrollers’ small sizes make them
ideal for portable equipment, instrumentation and measurement
devices, consumer medical products, and industrial meters.

The
C8051F41x microcontrollers feature a high-speed,
pipelined, 50-MIPS 8051 core, 16- to 32-KB flash memory,
and 2 KB. They feature on-chip peripherals such as a
12-bit, 200-ksps ADC, two 12-bit DACs, a temperature
sensor, a programmable voltage reference, and comparators.
The on-chip voltage regulator may be used to supply
power to external ICs in the system. This makes it ideal
for legacy systems with high-voltage supplies, as well
as new battery-powered systems that require low-voltage
operation.
The
C8051F41x microcontrollers feature a 2% accurate
precision internal oscillator that eliminates the need
for an external crystal or resonator. On-board serial
communication peripherals include UART, SMBus, and SPI
bus serial ports.
The
C8051F411/3 comes in a 28-pin QFN package. The C8051F410/2
comes in a 32-pin QFN.
Pricing
begins at $2.56 in quantities of 10,000. The
professional C8051F410DK development kit costs $99.
The low-cost C8051F411EK is available for a special
promotional price of $29. The reference design
kit costs $49.
