PC/104 GPRS/GSM MODEM

The new Micronix PV-1800 is a GPRS/GSM modem on PC/104 architecture that comes with an integrated 20-W power supply, isolated 12-bit A/D inputs, and digital I/O. It creates a unique low-cost solution for remote data logging and control. The GPRS modem comes with TCP/IP software that keeps your product online 24/7.

Time to market is paramount. Applying the PV-1800 to any CPU with a PC/104 interface enables you to bring your product/application online instantly through the TCP/IP over GPRS software. The integrated I/O on the PV-1800 enables data acquisition, control, and supervision.

Besides the cellular GSM/GPRS modem, the unit also includes a power supply, which provides 4 A at 5 V for external use. Thus, you don’t need an extra power supply for your system. The PV-1800 accepts an input supply of 8 to 35 V, which is convenient for automotive and low-voltage applications. The PV-1800 also has eight isolated analog (0 to 10 V) inputs, enabling on-board data acquisition directly. Additionally, eight digital inputs and seven high-current digital outputs (all optoisolated) enable you to control auxiliary equipment. Events can be reported through the SMS feature on the GSM modem.

It withstands extended temperatures and the shock and vibration of mobile equipment. The PV-1800-S costs $693.
