The SC123 and SC143 are new controllers that extend the range of the IPC@CHIP product family. The SC123/143 controllers offer increased performance, more memory, and more functionality while still offering full software compatibility with the previous SC11, SC12, and SC13 controllers.

All of the SC11/SC13’s important and well-established hardware functions and interfaces are retained on the SC123/SC143 controllers and have been enhanced with a number of additional key functions. The new controllers now offer a second Ethernet interface, two CANs, and one USB interface that can be used in either Host or Device mode. The number of serial interfaces has been increased from two to four. The new BGA design supports larger unit volumes in all aspects of industrial control and communication.

The hardware contains a CPU, RAM, flash memory, Ethernet, Watchdog, and power-fail detection. The preinstalled ready-to-use software consists of a real-time operating system (RTOS) with file system, TCP/IP stack, web server, FTP server, telnet server, and hardware interface layer. The combination of this proven hardware and software enables you to concentrate on your application. The results are reduced development time and short time-to-market development.

The SC123 and SC143 are also available in versions that include a runtime license for the CoDeSys PLC RTS (SC123-IEC/SC143-IEC). The SC123 and SC143 cost $129 and $139, respectively, in 10-piece quantities.
