CURRENT SENSORS SUITED FOR MINIATURE APPLICATIONS  

The low-profile current sensors in the SCD series are extremely small. Suited for applications such as over-current alarm and shutdown, power efficiency and control, inverters, and current commutation, each unit measures only 12 mm × 16 mm × 16 mm.

The SCD series employs an open loop, Hall effect configuration for sensing of AC and DC currents. It accepts a 12-V input and is available in 3-, 5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, and 30-A rated current models. Features include over-current protection to 10 times the rated current, a response time of 5 µs, and an operating temperature of –10° to 75°C. Pricing starts at $10.35 per unit in 1,000-piece quantities.
