COLOR 64 × 240 LCD

The 51851 series of low-cost, high-performance color 64 × 240-pixel LCD’s feature an optional GUI and a four-wire touch screen. You can choose from multiple interface options, including serial and parallel direct microprocessor input and serial RS-232 and RS-485 input with a simple GUI command structure.

You can improve the human-machine interface with these extremely high-contrast displays (80:1) and differentiate the product styling by selecting a color that best suits your application. HPC color is achieved with high-contrast LC panels with internal black mask and high brightness LED backlighting.

The series is available with white, blue, green, and yellow pixels on a black background, each with a user-selectable inverse mode for black pixels on the HPC color. A highly reflective version is available for applications requiring sunlight readability.

The optional GUI includes all display, backlight, and touch controls mounted directly on the back of the LCD. It requires only 5 V plus a single RS-232 or RS-485 interface. It also includes all the necessary software and hardware for contrast control, backlighting, multiple fonts, and graphic image generation. The touch option features a custom four-wire touch screen that’s suitable for a pen or touch. It’s rated for 10 million finger touches. The touch controller is integrated on the board with all touch activity transmitted through the serial port. Prices start at $40 for the LCD plus $52 for the GUI option and $15 for the touch screen option in 500-piece quantities.
