The
powerful new ATmega Control Board includes a
preinstalled ATmega32 microcontroller running at 16
MHz. The board is ideal for embedded control applications
and robotic controllers. Easy to connect and interface
with existing equipment, all of the ports are connected
to headers, and ADC connections are available using
standard PCB terminals. The microcontroller can be programmed
in-circuit using a separate download unit. The download
unit includes the necessary software.

Note
that 32 KB of flash program memory and 2 KB of RAM are
available on the chip. An eight-channel, 10-bit A/D
converter and four PWM channels are also available.
A programmable serial USART and SPI included within
the microcontoller.
Board
also includes sockets for a real-time clock (DS1307)
with a battery back-up socket, RS-232 communication
(MAX232 included), EEPROM (24LCxx series), and
an LCD connection including contrast trim potentiometer.
An on-board buzzer and reset switch are also included.
The power supply is 5 VDC via easy-to-connect PCB terminals.
Please
note that the board requires a program download tool
for programming; it is available separately. The ATmega
Control Board costs $32.95.
