DIGITAL I/O CARD

The RN1100 RabbitNet Digital I/O card is the first in a series of RabbitNet expansion products designed for use with the BL2500 SBC and OP7200 operator interface. RabbitNet is an I/O expansion mechanism based on three-wire, full-duplex technology; it utilizes low-cost, off-the-shelf Ethernet cables. Data is transmitted at 1 Mbps to a maximum recommended distance of 10 m (33¢).

When used with a compatible Z-World SBC or operator interface acting as a master, RabbitNet can be used to expand the amount of available I/O or increase the distance from the master device to the I/O points. Easily mounted on a 100-mm DIN rail tray (3.95² × 3.55² × 0.67²/100 mm × 90 mm × 17 mm), the RN1100 features a ruggedized I/O set consisting of 24 protected and filtered inputs and 16 high-speed protected sink/source outputs. Four 10-bit buffered analog input channels are also included.

The RN1100 costs $73 for a quantity of 100. A low-cost connectivity kit is available for $18 that contains friction-lock connectors and crimp terminals.
