Programmable Relay Controller

The RC51 is a microcontroller based, industrial relay controller that is easy to program and connect to external signals. The controller includes eight 10-A relays with LED indicators and four digital I/O lines including one interrupt signal. Using the interupt signal allows the board to capture short events or to count pulses. Screw terminals are provided for connection to the relays and digital I/O lines.

Based on the AT89C4051 microcontroller, it can be programmed using any number of software development tools and device programmers available for Atmel microcontrollers. A 512-byte EEPROM is available for storage of small programs or configuration information. The board also can be programmed as a stand-alone controller using its on-board Tiny Machine Basic programming language or controlled via an RS-232 link.

The RC51 package includes all items necessary to immediately begin application development. Included is a serial port cable for connection to a PC, a wall-block power supply, host computer software with programming examples, and hardware and software reference manuals.
