Answer 8—At first glance, it would appear that a sampling rate of greater than 106 kHz would be required. However, the two sidebands of the DSB difference signal are in fact redundant, and you do not lose any information if you sample the composite signal synchronously at 76 kHz. There’s at least one brand of commercial studio-to-transmitter link that works this way.
