Answer
1The
6502 processor only uses its external bus during one phase
of its two-phase clock. Another processor—or more typically,
a video refresh circuit—operating on the opposite clock
phase can use the bus for access to main memory with zero
contention with the main processor, which continues to
run at full speed.
