Answer
4Limited-weight
codes are useful in communications interfaces of all types.
For example, in a parallel bus used for chip-to-chip or
board-to-board communications, a limited-weight code can
help reduce noise and power consumption created by simultaneously
switching outputs without resorting to full differential
signaling.
In
serial interfaces and digital recording, limited-weight
codes have better inherent DC balance, making timing recovery
easier and improving the noise performance.
