the LO above the RF frequency, the IF frequencies are
produced by subtracting the RF frequencies from the LO
frequency. This means that the upper sideband on the incoming
RF becomes the lower sideband in the IF, and vice versa.
The switch that selects one sideband or the other must
be labeled appropriately.
