Answer 8—Starting from the first room, I need to make two trips—one trip to the other room and one trip back. To start, at the first location, I connect four wires together into one group, and then three wires together, and then two, leaving the last one unconnected, as shown below.

Then, I go to the other room. Using the continuity meter, I identify the groups (easily done) and wire them into different groups as follows, where A1 is any wire from the A group, etc.

Next, I return to the first room. Again, using the continuity tester, the individual wires can be easily identified.
