Answer 7—The effective impedance seen at the potentiometer’s wiper varies with wiper position. When graphed, it has a parabolic shape, zero at both ends of the rotation and peaking in the middle at 12.5 KW, or one-quarter of the potentiometer’s end-to-end resistance.
