Test Your EQ #150— Answer

Answer 4
True. A quarter-wave matching section is normally connected at the purely resistive point in a transmission line that is nearest to the load. Since the characteristic impedance of a quarter-wave section and the load are unequal, reflection still takes place between the matching section and the load. The quarter-wave section is designed so that it has no reflection between the generator and the quarter-wave section.
