Luminary Micro Designstellaris2006 Contest Winners Announcement

Starting in October 2006, designers began using Luminary Micro’s Stellaris family of ARM Cortex M3 controllers and Keil’s RealView Microcontroller Development Kit (RVMDK) to design projects to enter in the DesignStellaris2006 contest. With $10,000 in cash prizes on the line and reputations at stake, the competition was fierce. Amazing projects came in from such diverse locations as the United States, Romania, India, and Malaysia.

The judges scored all of the entries based on their technical merit, usefulness, originality, design optimization, and cost effectiveness. The results are now final, so it’s time to give the 19 winners the recognition they deserve!

We are proud to announce that Jinxgi Zhang and Yang Zhang have won First Prize for their Handheld Multifunction Scope project. The system is a compact multifunctional oscilloscope that supports several modes. When you use the system with your PC, you can display the oscilloscope’s traces and readouts on your monitor.
