Reflow Oven Controller
When
designing high-speed applications, working with surface-mount
technology components and soldering by hand can be tedious.
The H8/3687 microcontroller-based SMT Reflow Oven Controller
transforms a conventional infrared toaster oven into an effective
reflow oven that ensures thermal control. The EVB87 evaluation
board provides an on-chip analog-to-digital converter, LCD,
push buttons, and an ample supply of RAM and program memory.
The simple, streamlined design required adding just two small
circuits, a thermocoupler interface, and a driver for an external
relay to turn on and off the reflow oven. And the best part
is that the SMT Reflow Oven Controller cost hundreds of dollars
less to build than traditional reflow ovens.
